In real life I am a scientist. In my head I am a frustrated author.
My notebooks are littered with ideas spanning two and a half decades. They have never been converted into anything other than a chapter here or a chapter there, perhaps a short story, or the occasionally crafted piece of prose for someone special in my life.
But writing a novel? Or novels? I think ideas are good, but often I have struggled to find the motivation or determination to make them fully-fledged.
I decided to change all that in 2012, and entering NaNoWriMo was the first time I was able to do that.
In one month, I took the smallest of ideas, and turned it into a novel. This blog will reflect my interest in books and the writing process.
